I created Simprov after retiring from many years of teaching public school. Simprov is the words: sewing improvisations. In drama, improvisations are where actors made up lines on the spur of the moment. The magic can really happen on stage. With Simprov, I wanted to unleash my creativity and share that with my sewing students.

Over the years, I have successfully taught students to sew who said "I can't" and "That is way too hard!" I will teach as a costumer first and a seamstress second. That means you learn to not worry about being perfect all the time. After you love to sew, then it will be time to focus on the accuracy needed for "ready to wear" clothing! My goal is to make sewing lessons a fun journey.

I love especially sewing and teaching. We laugh, we chat and the sewing machine hums along. The joy of a successful project is priceless. And the lessons learned on the disaster is also useful.
